He was predeceased by: his mother Zonie Bell Harris (Blackwell); his spouse Bertie Louise Parrish; and his brothers, Ralph Lamar and Douglas Ben. He is survived by: his father Joseph Lamar; his children, Denise Carter (Jerome), Steven Lamar (Diana) and Byron Lee; his granddaughter Angela Boyett (Michael); his great grandchildren, Mason and Macy; his grandson Blake Harris (Sami); his great grandchildren, Payton and Knox; his grandchildren, Colby Harris and Lauri Collins (Mitch); his great grandchildren, Chris, Sydney, Gracie (Brett Dimas) and Carter; his grandchild Randi Cain (Waylan); his great grandchildren, Joe, Ethan (Brett), Morgan and Stuart; his niece Debbie Harris Tharp (David); and his caregivers, Precious, Brendal, Ellen, Stacy, Derrick and Angie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pecan Grove Funeral Home (3124 Robinson Dr, Waco, TX 76706). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
