He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Reuben Unell and Eva Cohen Unell; his brothers, Harry Unell and Sam Unell; and his sibling-in-law Luci.
He is survived by: his children, Janis Unell Mayfield (Mike) and Dr. Alan Unell (Deonna); his grandchildren, Adam Gordon, Samantha Unell, Joe Unell and Eva Unell; his great grandchildren, Elam Rodger Unell and Naomi Unell; his close friends, Wanda and Bill Parrish; and his friend Bud.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home (6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rodef Sholom Cemetery (1400 Garden Dr, Waco, TX 76706).
