With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Belk of Waco, Texas, born in Randolph, Texas, who passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bailey Spivey and Viola Spivey; and her sister Nancy. She is survived by: her daughter Ricci Ann; her son-in-law Shawn Dunn; and her grandson Hayden.

Zoom classes were the best thing to come out of Covid for her as she could take even more from the comforts of home and not "have to haul her supplies" everywhere, while connecting with her community.

“Barbara was a life-saver for me when I returned to teaching after 17 years away and raising my two boys! The principal needed someone to "sub" for two weeks while he tried to find a permanent teacher for an added fifth grade class. Barbara was a super friend that helped me with lesson plans, setting up a grade book and so many more things I had forgotten! I will never forget her sweet ways of encouragement to me! I'll never forget her friendship and helpfulness.! She will be missed!”
