We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2025, at the age of 84, Arthur Rivas of Waco, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rivas (Federico) and Eduvijen Rivas (Nabjar); his great grandchild DeLuca Melendez; and his siblings, Joe Rivas, Domingo Rivas, Jessie Rivas and Elvira Frias.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy D. Rivas; his sons, Ruben Storie (Maria) of New Braunfels and Danny Storie (Tyra) of Houston, Texas; his grandson Billy Baker of Lubbock; and his siblings, Ricardo Rivas of Temple, Rudy Rivas of Waco, Isaias Rivas (Becky) of Tyler, Texas and Maggie Martinez (Joe) of Mt. Calm, Texas.
A rosary was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (1011 Boston St, Waco, TX 76705). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
As a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Third and Fourth degrees at the St. Francis Council and Assembly, Sir Knight Arthur Rivas truly embodied the value of faith, charity, unity, and patriotism.
