She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Ortiz and Francis Cardenas; and her brother Jerry Ortiz. She is survived by: her husband Joe Castillo; her children, Veronica Lopez, Joe Jr., Jason Castillo and Jacob Castillo; and her siblings, Alfonso Ortiz, Beatrice Castillo, Sylvia Trevino and Charles Ortiz. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.
