She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Cardenas and Angelita Cardenas; and her brother Jose A. Cardenas. She is survived by: her husband Jesus D. Hernandez; her children, Christine Johnson (Charles), Veronica Gonzalez (Oscar), Elisabeth Tovar (Dwayne) and Gregorio Tovar Jr.; her stepsons, Ernest and Jesse Hernandez; and her siblings, Juan Cardenas (Terri), Herminia Hernandez (Rudy) and Diana Cardenas. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Memorial Park Cemetery (20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:15 AM at the same location.
