He was predeceased by: his wife Esperanza Ruiz; and his brothers, Jose Juan Ruiz and Gabriel Ruiz. He is survived by: his children, Mario Ruiz (Adela), Henrietta Rangel (Joe), Alicia Diaz (Danny), Mary Esquivel (Dionicio), Esperanza Mayor (Robert) and Michelle Ruiz; and his siblings, Fito Ruiz, Gavina Hernandez, Teresa Rodriguez and Maria Luisa Castillo. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
