He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chester Rose and Sarah Opal Daniel Rose; his former wife Norma Jean Johnson Rose; his son Robert Earl Rose Jr.; and his brother James Rose.

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Rose; his children, Sarah Jeanette Matte (John), Paul Morgan Rose and Christopher Frye; his grandchildren, Mike Matte and Lena Rose Matte; his sister Nancy Austin (Paul); and his daughter-in-law Kim Rose. He is also survived by numerous cousins, family members and fur babies.
