She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Alphin Adaway and Sebastian Adaway; her husband Pat Murphy; and her sons, Johnny Ray Adaway and Robert Charles Nally.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Ann Murphy of Port Neches, Catherine Murphy of Village Mills, Patrick Kevin Murphy (Maria) of Silsbee, Thomas Murphy (Valerie) of Lumberton and John Murphy (Darla) of Bridge City. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
