He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Ira Parks and Elda Reames; and his brother Wendell Ray Parks. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Parks of Vidor, TX; his children, Brian Thomas Parks (Becca) of Baton Rouge, LA, Ronnie James Parks of Tyler, TX, Wesley Ray Parks (Jazmine) of Tyler, TX and Victoria D'Ann Landry (Taylor) of Vidor, TX; his grandchildren, Harper Claire Parks, Blake Thomas Parks, Beckett James Landry and Elliott Hayes Landry; and his child Shirley Lee Davis (Donald) of Baton Rouge, LA..
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (1600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the China Cemetery.
Following his military career, he brought his leadership skills to The Stark Foundation, where he worked his way up to Chief of Security.
