He is survived by: his grandchild Pawpaw; his wife Melba Rains Melancon; his daughters, Michelle Melancon and Barbara Hollier (Blaine); his grandchildren, James, Thomas, Trevor, Jaden, Kelsey, Hannah, Mason, Samantha and Jonathan; his great grandchildren, Raelynn, Carrie, John, Matthew, Paul, Clara Everleigh and Aric; and his siblings, Jude Melancon, Sylvia Schubarth (Coy), Delores Daniels and Numerous.
