He is survived by: his wife Dawn Cockerham of Vidor, TX; his children, Laura Godfrey (Matt) of Houston, TX, Sabrina Cockerham of Houston, TX, JoAnna Nicole Bradshaw of Vidor, TX, Lisa Bradshaw of Mauriceville, TX, Kimberly Roberts (Kenneth) of Vidor, TX, Lauren Hunt (Michael) of Vidor, TX, Jimmie Safford and Kevin Bradshaw of Mauriceville, TX; his father Brister Jr. (Cherry) of Vidor, TX; his siblings, Edward Brister (Clif Rice) of Houston, TX and Rhonda Powell (Bo) of Bedford, TX; his brothers-in-law, Larry Molenda of Woodville, TX, Kevin of Vidor, TX and Bobby Molenda of Vidor, TX; his grandchildren, Tom, George, Jonathan, Sara, Meghan, Clayton, Katelyn, Bentley, Elizabeth, Emma and MaKayla; his great grandchild Archie; and his nephews, Ryles, Carter Powell and Saren Smith.
