He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosemary James Sterling and Oliver Sterling, Jr.; his wife Dolores Sterling; his stepsons, Garrett Rossi and Nickey Rossi; and his brothers, Jimmie Sterling, Robert Sterling and John Michael Sterling.
He is survived by: his children, Jodie Benoit and Michael Sterling; his grandchildren, Tyler Doiron (Grant Neal), Sydney Doiron Carr and Dustin Sterling (Shayla); his great grandchildren, Dayton Sterling, Cashton Sterling and Kamryn Sterling; his sister Mary Ann Sterling; and his son-in-law Eric Carr.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Family and Friends Broussard's Mortuary (2000 Mcfaddin Ave, Beaumont, TX 77701). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Rosary Broussard's Mortuary (2000 Mcfaddin Ave, Beaumont, TX 77701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Broussard's (2000 Mcfaddin Ave, Beaumont, TX 77701). A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 3:30 PM at the St. Bernard Cemetery (4371 Main Hwy, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
