She was predeceased by: her parents, Vertis Freeman and Nola Freeman (Peveto); her husband Benjamin Kyle Smith; and her daughter Donna Kathleen Smith Dubose. She is survived by: her daughter Janet Lanell Smith Peno (Willis) of Vidor; her brother Lester Alton Freeman of Mauriceville; and her granddaughters, Kristi Dubose Stepan (Jason), Amanda Kathleen Dubose, Vanessa Peno Bennett (Jeff) and Maris Elaine Peno. She is also survived by 7 great- grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
