He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Simmons and Wanda Simmons; and his brother Sonny Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Mary Simmons; his children, Krysten Simmons (Nathan Kendall) of Vidor, Lauren Little (Dustin Dewees) of Vidor and Jonathan Simmons (Brittany) of Vidor; and his siblings, Billy Simmons of Vidor, Sue Colvin of Orange, Theresa Richard of Vidor, Annie Harder of Vidor and Paula Simmons of Porter, Texas.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (2725 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662).
