She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Rutledge and Model Perkins Rutledge; her sons, Larry Richard and Jay Richard; and her siblings, Sam Rutledge, Odis Rutledge, Albert Rutledge, Joan Gilbreath and Joyce Rutledge.

She is survived by: her husband Larry Richard; her children, Joe Richard, Hank Richard (Cassie), Harry Richard (Dana), Sherri Norton, Terri Richard and Judi Thorp; her sister Jeanine Burkett; and her sisters-in-law, Gay Rutledge, Carolyn Rutledge and Barbara Rutledge.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Turning Point Church (3600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662).
