He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Kirkland; his son James H. Kirkland IV; his granddaughter Kristen Kirkland; and his brother Terry "Dusty" Kirkland. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Mooney (Lane) of Vidor, TX, Keith Kirkland of Vidor, TX and Kevin Kirkland Sr. of Vidor, TX.; his grandchildren, Marshall Mooney, Matthew Mooney, Ashley Fronzaglio, James Kirkland, Keith Allen Kirkland Jr., Breanna Kirkland, Kevin Kirkland Jr. and Raegan Kirkland; his girlfriend Brenda Burton; and his partner's children, Linkyn Arabie and Kora Guidroz. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
