He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Werner and Evelyn Werner; his sister Irene Ruth Carr; and his son-in-law Michael Leger. He is survived by: his wife Karen Werner of Vidor, TX; his children, Pamela Sanford (Benn) of Brookeland, TX, James Michael Werner (Tasha) of New Braunfels, TX and Melissa Leger of Huntsville, AR; his brothers, Eugene Phillip Werner Jr. of Vidor, TX and Paul David Werner of Woodville, TX; his grandchildren, Tyler Wade Sanford, Hannahjane Werner, Madison Bozeman (Preston), Brinnin Werner (Abby), Julian Eve Sanford, Zak Werner, Eli Leger (Karla), Wyatt Werner and Eton Leger; and his great grandchildren, Maverick Michael Werner and Ophelia Rose Werner.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662). A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Del-Rose Cemetery.
