He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda L. Simmons; his son Harold Sonny Simmons; his parents, John William Simmons and Imogene Rollo Rearick; and his brother John Bud Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Ronda Simmons of Vidor, TX, William "Billy" Simmons of Vidor, TX, Sue (Tony Colvin) of Orange, TX, Theresa Richard of Vidor, TX, Wayne "Doc" (Mary Christine Simmons) of Vidor, TX, Laura (James Harder) of Vidor, TX and Paula Simmons (Kristen Copeland) of Porter, TX. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren 7 great great grandchildren.
