She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Fate and Susan Jane Ward; her husband Abner Walter Rutledge; and her son Abner Walter Rutledge Jr.. She is survived by: her children, David Rutledge of Vidor and Becky Rutledge Bridges (Joe Bridges) of Vidor; her brother Guy Ward of Beaumont; her grandchildren, Karrie Wagner (Rick), Marvin Gallier, Kim Cheatwood, Abner W. Rutledge III and Winfred Goodman Jr.; her grandchild-in-law Stephannie; and her grandchildren, Kelly Springs (Chris), Athena Shettlesworth (Ronnie), David Rutledge Jr. and Emily Rayon (Stephen). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
