He was predeceased by: his brother Ryan Van Huis; and his grandparents, Ed, Ruth Van Huis, Ron and Roseann Bal.

He is survived by: his parents, Mark Huis and Cynthia Van Huis of Vidor, TX; his siblings, Sarah Van Huis (Aaron Jones) of Mauricevile, Jeremy Van Huis of Groves, TX and Jacob Van Huis of Vidor; and his nieces and nephews, Julia Menard, Madaline Jones, Lijiah Menard and Zachary Jones.
