He is survived by: his wife Madeline Garlington Simmons; his children, Rosemary Carroll of Pitkin, Louisiana, Jeaneen Brown of DeRidder, Louisiana, Calvin Simmons of Pitkin, Louisiana, Dewayne Simmons of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Casey Hancock (Chuck) of Hamshire, Texas and Mark Simmons of Vidor, Texas; his grandchild Nicholle Maddox (Frankie) of Carthage, Texas; his children, Salena Simmons, Alisha Simmons, Kerry Simmons, Mitchell Simmons, Megan Simmons, Nathaniel Simmons, Wendy Williams, Kalli Fewell (Brittany), Kisha Ashworth (Joel) of DeRidder, Louisiana, Annie Harper (Stephen) of Sugartown, Louisiana, Brandt Hancock of Hamshire, Texas and Makenna Hancock of Hamshire, Texas; and his brother Raymond Simmons of DeRidder, Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Palestine Baptist Church (414 Palestine Rd, Grant, LA 70644).
