With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Uresti Sanchez of Victoria, Texas, who passed away on December 18, 2024 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Uresti and Susanna Ortiz; her boyfriend David McCarty; and her siblings, Dolores Canales and Rudy Uresti.
She is survived by: her husband Marcus Sanchez of Victoria, Texas; her children, Monica Vargas (Domingo) of Victoria, Texas, Mark Sanchez (Julie) of Victoria and Patrick Sanchez of Victoria, Texas; and her siblings, Alfonso Uresti, Jr. (Cricelia) of Victoria, Linda L. Shell of Angleton, Diana Uresti Cano of Victoria, Anita Uresti Alegria of Victoria and Theresa Uresti-Ortiz of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Funeral Home - Victoria (2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, TX 77901). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Grace Funeral Home (2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, TX 77901). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (208 W River St, Victoria, TX 77901). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Resurrection Cemetery.
