He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cornett and Ruby Pearl Praytor; his siblings, William D. Cornett Jr. and Nan Cornett Perryman; and his son Thomas Scott Cornett.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Cornett; and his daughters, Ruth Creigh Lidiak (Gary) of Katy and Kathrene Carr (Steven) of Victoria. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous extended family.
