He was predeceased by: his parents, Pancho Salazar and Inez Salazar; his siblings, Adela Perez, Isabel Felan, Nick, Julio, Francisco, Candelario and Lucio Salazar; and his granddaughter Desirae Lynn (Salazar Estrada).
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Ann Salazar; his children, Rudy Salazar III, Alexander Salazar, Cayce, Brewster (Will), Jessica Salazar (Chris), Nicole Salazar (Frank) and JoAnn Whitehead (Paul); and his pet Lucy.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 8:15 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Angel Lucy's Funeral Home - Main (706 E Crestwood Dr, Victoria, TX 77901). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (208 W River St, Victoria, TX 77901).
