He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy James and Frances Higdon; and his siblings, Andy Robert Higdon (Eddie), Jerry Lee Higdon (Cheryl), Roy Eugene Higdon (Judy), Emily Holstein, Hilda Higdon and Doris Higdon.

He is survived by: his sister Diana Higdon Stevens (Bobby); and his brother-in-law William C. Holstein.

In lieu of remembrances donations for burial expenses are accepted.
