He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon L. Zapata and Sophia Anzaldula; and his sister Patsy Embil. He is survived by: his wife Maria Gallegos Zapata; his siblings, Carolina Loa, Pablo Zapata (Juanita), Amadeo Zapata (Debbie) and Tony Zapata (Ellen); and his children, Lena Gallegos (Fred Gonzales), David Gallegos, Juan P. Gallegos, Eloy Zapata (Jaime), Ernesto Zapata, Ezekiel Zapata, Enricoo Zapata and Robert L. Zapata.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Angel Lucy's Funeral Home - Main (706 E Crestwood Dr, Victoria, TX 77901).
