He was predeceased by: his mother Delia Garcia. He is survived by: his father Mario Garcia; his wife Guadalupe Sanchez; his two children Ian Garcia and Corina Garcia; his brother Mario A. Garcia; his three nieces Marisa Garcia (Jonmichael), Alexis "Lexie" Garcia (Joe), and Emma Garcia; his two nephews John Garcia (Katelyn) and Mario Garcia Jr.; his four great nephews Aaron Valdez, Angel "AJ" Valdez Jr., Xane Huerta, and Joe Saenz Jr. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws, and friends.

A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 31st 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Angel Lucy's Funeral Home (706 E. Crestwood St., Victoria, TX). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 1st 2023 at 8:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (208 W. River St., Victoria, TX). A burial was held on Thursday, June 1st 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (1009 E. Mockingbird St., Victoria, TX).
