He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Denton and Betty Denton (White); his sisters, Opal Moore and Shirley Haley; and his great grandchild Wynton.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Denton; his children, Chad Denton, Clay Denton, Jill Sumpter and Joy Crump; his grandchildren, Heather, Rebecca, Brian, Mandy, Hunter and Brandon; his great grandchildren, Brennan, Presley, Chandler, Lincoln, Graham and Memphis; his nieces, Lindy McCulloch and Cindy Haley Wadle; and his nephew Jack Moore.
