He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse George and Emilia "Millie" Faykus. He is survived by: his friend Jeanine Teltschik of New Braunfels; his wife Jeanine Teltschik Faykus; his children, Marcia Emmons (Mark) of Boulder, Mary Sue Cullins (Mark) of Dallas and Max Faykus, Jr. (Susie) of Fayetteville; his siblings, Viola Zboril of Garwood, Texas and Preston Faykus (Mary Jo) of El Campo, Texas.; his grandsons, Daniel Cullins, Alexander Emmons, Max Faykus, III, Marshall Faykus and Mason Faykus; and his nephew Rob Zboril. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
