She was predeceased by: her parents, Telesforo Luera and Severa Sanchez; and her brothers, Ramiro Luera, Samuel Luera, Juan Luera and Moises Velasquez Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Martin G. Martinez; her daughters, Diane Vera (Ruben) of Placedo, Linda Gomez of Placedo, Norma Young (Jack) of Florida and Veronica Aguirre (Adam Jr.) of Victoria; and her siblings, Elijia Loa of Corpus Christi, Nicolasa Alvarado of Victoria, Telesforo Luera Jr. of Mission Valley, Ernest Luera of Brenham and Filberto Luera of Tomball. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
