He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Sowa and Luteria M. Lara; and his stepdaughter JoAnn Rocha. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Sowa; his children, Mary Helen Sanchez (Raul), Martin Sowa (Anna) and Manuel Pena (Ashley); his stepdaughter Anna Nugent (Isaac); his daughter-in-law Connie Sowa; and his stepson-in-law Pete Rocha. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
