She was predeceased by: her father Mel Marie Allen; her grandmother Mattie Todd; her brother Winston Todd, Sr.; and her granddaughter Rayna M. A. Tolbert. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Tolbert, Maurice Tolbert and Melvin Tolbert; her grandchildren, Clifford Tolbert, Dont'e Tolbert-Johnson, Andrea Tolbert, Aaron Rodriguez, Zuri Tolbert and Wayland Landers; her great grandchildren, Janessa Tolbert-Johnson, Ivan Tolbert-Johnson and Charlotte Tolbert; her uncle Ralph Todd; and her siblings, Tommy Perry, Jannie Rucker, Ophelia Nuells, Hazel Scott, Alice Walker and Ruthie Nuells.
