He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Sanchez and Francisca Sallebedra; his wife Maria Sanchez; his son Miguel "Mike" Sanchez; his siblings, Sabina Cavazos, Sara Sanchez, Sostenos Sanchez, Gregoria Garza, Josephine Valdez, Mary Ann Garcia and Dominga Gutierrez; and his uncles, Luis Sanchez, Juan Sanchez and Lupe Sallebedra.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Sanchez (Dawn), Rebecca Villarreal (Noel), Genaro Sanchez, Jr. (Judy), Francis Aguillon (Roland) and Martha Ford (Tim). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
