He was predeceased by: his mother Joyce Simmons; his grandmother Rebecca Garley; and his granddaughter Olyve McNary. He is survived by: his father Ervin Lee Simmons Sr. of Victoria; his wife Sherrie Johnson Simmons of Victoria; his children, Nyla Simmons of Victoria, Dezire Simmons of Victoria, Erin Maldonado of Beeville, Ervin Simmons III (Caroline) of Victoria and Dezmon Simmons of Victoria; and his siblings, Clinton Ray Curtis of Gonzales and LaJuana Simmons of Victoria. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and numerous other loving family members and friends.
