He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bruns and Sophie Seiler Bruns; and his sisters, Vergie and Rita. He is survived by: his wife Gay Kolle Bruns; his children, Lisa Bruns Hilliard (Walter) and Shawn Hoff (Jackye); his sister Deanna Bruns Wacker; and his granddaughter Emma Hilliard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Grace Funeral Home - Victoria (2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, TX 77901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First English Lutheran Church (516 N Main St, Victoria, TX 77901). A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
