He was predeceased by: his parents, Anselmo Alvarez Sr. and Juanita Alvarez; his brother Anselmo Alvarez Jr.; his brother-in-law Patricio Sanchez; his daughter-in-law Elsa Lerma Alvarez; and his grandson Dallas Gonzales.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Alvarez of Victoria, TX; his children, Mary Alvarez of Victoria, TX, Eugene Alvarez, Richard Alvarez of Victoria, TX and Antonio B. Alvarez of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Madison Jimenez (Ivan) of Baytown, TX, Graviel Molina of Norfolk, VA, Shawn Alvarez of Hargerstown, MD, Anabelle Alvarez of Victoria, TX, Adison Gonzales of Victoria, TX and EmmaLisa Alvarez of Corpus Christi, TX; his great grandchildren, Honey Jimenez, Angelo Jimenez, Briseis Jimenez, Mateo Gonzales of Baytown, TX, Scarlett Molina and Marco Molina of Norfolk, VA.; his siblings, Alfonso Alvarez Sr. (Esther), Irma Sanchez and Frances Montes (Roger) of Victoria; and his pet Sunny Boy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Funeral Home - Victoria (2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, TX 77901). A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Grace Funeral Home (2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, TX 77901). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (208 W River St, Victoria, TX 77901).
