She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cranford Elbert and Alta Bernice Byrd Scoggins; her husband John Edwards of Vernon; her sons, Casey Patterson of Hollis and Chris Hix of Boerne, Texas; and her siblings, Carl Scoggins, Elbert Scoggins of Quanah, Doug Scoggins of Goodlett, Helen Scoggins of Quanah, Connie Brown and Maxine Rhodes. She was also cherished by 4 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
