She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicolas Olivas and Octaviana Chavira; her husband Fausto Ruiz; and her children, Ramon, Jesus, Margarito and Elvira.
She is survived by: her children, Mila Rivera of Vega, TX, Lourdes Olivas of El Paso, TX, Beatriz Segovia of Vega, TX and Fausto Ruiz Jr. of Vega, TX. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
