He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Poindexter and Mildred Holt Poindexter; his wife Ellen Landers of Buena Vista; and his grandparents, William, Maude Poindexter of Stephens, AR, Henry L. and Maudie Holt of Stephens.
He is survived by: his daughter Kenna Kempton (Todd) of Van; his grandchildren, Brayden Kempton of Searcy, AR and Brittney Kempton of Fort Worth; and his great grandchild Imani Okigbo of Fort Worth.
