We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2020, at the age of 90, John W. Megason of Van, Texas, born in Avery, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Newton Truett Megason and Mittie Bullard Megason; his former wife Betty Reeves Megason; his siblings, Truett, Benny, Jack, Phillip Megason, Elizabeth Summerville and Ruby Wright; his son Carey Mark; and his granddaughter Abby Pool.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Blackstock Megason of Van; his daughters, Delynn Montrose (Rod) of Florida, Tanna Buie (Randy), Dena Rejcek (Brett) of Keller, Kristi Pool (Greg) of Arkansas and Rebekah Sevadjian (Emile) of Carrollton; and his grandchildren, Mark, Karyn, Kara, Zach, Clay, Justine, Austin, Katelyn, Carrie, Chloe, Carter, Bryant, Bradley and Blake. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
