It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry B. Phillips (Van, Texas), born in Marshall, Texas, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Laughlin Melton and Summer Phillip Phillips, Sr.; and his brothers, Phil Phillips, Bill Phillips and Preston Melton.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Mike Phillips (Paula) of Chandler and Donna Rakestraw (Robbie) of Combine; his grandchildren, Josh Phillips, Jordan Phillips (Ashley), Troy Rakestraw and Jesse Rakestraw; and his great grandchildren, Jazmin, Lily and Violet.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moorehead-Melton Cemetery.
