With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Lovell Clark (Van, Texas), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Janis Marilyn Gist Clark; his daughter Melanie Jan; his parents, Chester Dallas Clark and Mary Ruth Apel Clark; and his stepdaughter Michelle Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Clark; his daughter Camille; his son-in-law Joe Madrid of Wylie; his stepson Russell (Kelley DuBose) of Tuscaloosa; his brother Daniel; his sister-in-law Jan Clark of Houston; his sister Carolyn; his siblings-in-law, Don McIntosh of Arkansas, Paula, T. J. Higgins, Phil, Kitty Shirey, Jim and Daryl Ann Shirey; and his grandchildren, Alexander Madrid and Isabel Madrid. He is also survived by four step- grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hilliard Funeral Home (386 N Maple St, Van, TX 75790). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Clarksville Cemetery.
