He is survived by: his wife Erlinda Escobar Montalvo; his children, Michelle Woodley (Sonny), Michael Montalvo, Jr (Jessica) and Marshall Montalvo; and his siblings, Louis Montalbo (Guadalupe, George Montalbo), Paul Montalbo (Ann), Margarita Nieto (Adolfo) and Rosalinda Thomas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
