Ernestina Chapa Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernestina Chapa of Van Vleck, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernestina Chapa to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Santos De La Rosa and Cecelia De La Rosa; and her children, Maricela Chapa Kubeczka and Noel Chapa Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Cesar Chapa Sr.; and her sons, Rolondo Chapa (Dareth), Cesar Chapa (Marilyn Ball), Eduardo Chapa (Susie) and Oscar Chapa. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home (2313 Avenue I, Bay City, TX 77404). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1412 12th St, Bay City, TX 77414). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
