He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt Givens and Winnie Givens; his former wife Barbara Helen Givens; and his sister Geneva Fender. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Givens of Gunter; his sister Marilynn Yeatts; his children, David Givens, Bryan Givens and Laurie Givens Carroll; his children-in-law, Bill Carroll and Limei Lin; his stepson Blaine Cantrell; his daughter-in-law Angela Cantrell; and his grandchildren, Erin Givens, Claire Plauchée' (Givens), Megan Givens, Laura Givens, James Carroll, Jenna Carroll and Ava Cantrell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and North Texas Food Bank.
