It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Olson of Van Alstyne, Texas, born in Longview, Texas, who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Orvel and Gracie Pearl Olson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Olson of Van Alstyne; his children, Christopher Olson (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Heather Olson (Lance) of Layton, Utah.; and his grandchildren, Connor Olson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Raiff Haltli of Layton, Utah., Victoria Haltli of Layton, Utah. and Alyssa Haltli of Layton, Utah.. He is also survived by his sister Mary Camp (Sam) and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne, Texas where Roy was an active member for almost 30 years.
