It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Berthalene Rice in Van Alstyne, Texas, born in Calera, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Mullens and Vivian Wilson Mullens; her husband George Ray Rice; her son Ronnie Rice; her granddaughters, Miranda Caloway and Rachel Rice; and her sister Mary Nicely.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Williams (Larry) of Savoy, Ricky Rice (Jackie) of Rowlett and Randy Rice (Theresa) of Trenton; her sister Carolyn Slaughter (Donnie) of Whitewright; and her grandchildren, Robin Jones, Misty Pierce, Brittney Martin, Ashley Fisher, Kayla Robinson, Ronnie Rice, Shannon Martin and Ryan Rice. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
