It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Monroe Brown (Van Alstyne, Texas), born in Westminster, Texas, who passed away on April 12, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Brown, Sr. and Dora Cecil Simpson; his wife Rada Lee Brown; and his siblings, James D. Brown, Jr. (Shirley), Martin Brown (Wimp), Mary Jo Geer (Peg), Willie Burl Brown (Bill), Mozelle Kee (Sack) and Hershel Lee Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Brown (Julie Brown) of Allen and Judy Conaway (Randy Conaway) of Westminster; his granddaughters, Amber Strickland Carney of Westminster and Amanda Brown of San Diego, California.; and his sisters, Patsy Anderson (Rusty) of Westminster, Melba Turner (Jitter) of Van Alstyne and Carol Umphress (Sue) of Van Alstyne.
