She was predeceased by: her parents, William Russell Haun and Flora Matilda Haddock Haun; her husband Edward David; and her siblings, Lucy Haun, Norma England and Howard Haun.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Dixon (Monte) of Whitewright and Kathy Ellison of Van Alstyne; and her grandchildren, Steve Winters (Penny), Amy Guinn Callies (Michael), Tim Renneker (Susan), Jay Renneker (Jessica), Jeremy Hughes (Kim), Kerri Briggs McClinton (Luke) and Mariah Rushin Cavender (Brooks). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren, along with nieces, a nephew.
Alta will be remembered and celebrated during a service at the First United Methodist Church of Van Alstyne on October 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. All expressions of sympathy, including flowers, honorary donations to the United Methodist Women (FUMC Van Alstyne chapter) and cards are welcome.
